As a child growing up in the foothills of North Georgia Lauren j. Patton loved to draw and play in the woods with her puppy dogs. Her artwork holds her child hood love of magic, nature and animals. She received her BFA in illustration from Rhode Island School of Design and will complete her MFA-IA with a focus on writing and illustrating picture - books from Goddard College in 2010. She now lives in the Mountains of Western North Carolina with her husband Matt and her two wiener dogs, Gavin and Milli.
